THE HOWELL FAMILY

LIFELONG CATTLE PRODUCERS WITH REAL-WORLD PERSPECTIVE

Elijah & Annie Howell have spent their lives on working farms, where cattle pay for themselves or they don't get to stay.

ELIJAH & ANNIE

Elijah grew up with commercial cattle in the heart of the Ozarks in Shannon County, Missouri. He places a lot of emphasis on cattle who can stay in good condition on forage, breed back easily, and raise a calf on their own. He loves hay season, deer hunting, and checking cows with the "foreman", Josephine.

Annie grew up on a purebred Brangus seedstock operation in Northern California. She showed cattle all over the country and found a real passion in judging livestock through FFA. She received a scholarship to judge livestock at Clarendon College in Texas, where her passion for great stock only grew. Annie values cattle with excellent feet and legs, plenty of muscle shape, breed character, and a balanced, striking profile.

VISION

Howell Cattle Co. has a vision of the "perfect" cow in mind. She is good-footed, correct and attractive in her leg design, wide pinned and square down her top, with a round, maternal rib shape. From the side, she's balanced and striking. The kind of cow that leaves a lasting impact on the breed, both in the show ring and as a matron. We have selected females and make breeding decisions that only bring us closer to our vision.
